Austenitic Stainless Steel

Austenitic Stainless Steel is the most commonly used stainless family found in machine shops. It is characterized by high Chromium content, up to 20%, high Nickel amount to 15%, and deficient carbon, usually 0.03%. Due to the high nickel content, It has excellent corrosion resistance. On the other hand, it is hard to machine and has low strength and hardness.
