Carbide Grades Catalog Status

We divide the carbide grades in our database into four statuses

  • Primary: A grade that is active in the brand’s catalog and is considered as one of the main recommendations for at least one main application/material combination
  • Complementary: A grade that is active in the brand’s catalog, but is considered as a secondary recommendation, or it is the main recommendation only for specific situations.
  • Old Version: A grade that is still active in the brand’s catalog, However, there exists a more modern variation of it that is the current recommendation. In this case, we list also the modern alternative.
  • Old Grade: An older generation grade that is no longer offered in the brand’s catalog, In this case, we list the modern alternatives that are the best substitution.
